Last night my
ankles were swelled up and my neck was sunburned and my feet were dirty. After
a cold shower i felt tired but great. Today all is well and we are on our way
to the university and later door to door distribution.
We left at 6
am so we could arrive at the university in Georgetown by class change at 9:30.
No breakfast today just a coffee and banana. I was up early enough to have a
devotional time and refresh in Jesus. At the university we worked with Campus
Crusade for Christ (thought of you John) who joined us in distributing the book
“Cravings” by Erwin McManus and a New Testament. Some students were writing
exams and when they left their classroom we presented them with this gift
packet. Others were attending regular classes and we handed out gift packets to
the coming and going students.
I was called
away to join a conversation with Christians and a Jehovah Witness to explain
the Trinity. This young lady comes from a Jehovah Witness family and was
considering if this was the right way to follow. I spoke with her and a young
man and then later to the Christians that had been sharing with her.
Later we
continued our distribution in Georgetown and I did part of the downtown market
area going from stall to stall. Many of those who received the DVD when they
realized it was about Jesus gave us a big smile and thank you and God bless
you. After lunch (chow mein for the second day in a row) we drove back home and
stopped to distribute our remaining DVD’s in a village along the way. We arrived home to supper around 6 pm.
Although the
heat is intense and we do a lot of walking and sweating and get bitten my
mosquitoes at night, to know that the
Gospel is going out is worth it all. Thank you for continuing to pray and think
of us down here. There is still a lot of heat and walking to come. See you
tomorrow.
I look forward to your updates, Ron. God bless.
